ALERT - A PRE-RECORDED PHONE MESSAGE ATTACK IS IN PROGRESS IN THE UTAH AREA. MESSAGES ARE BEING DELIVERED TO RANDOM CONSUMERS WITH THE WARNING THAT THEIR DEBIT CARDS HAVE BEEN CLOSED. WHEN CUSTOMERS CALL THE PHONE NUMBER PROVIDED THEY HEAR A RECORDING THAT REQUESTS A 16-DIGIT CARD NUMBER AND PIN. PLEASE DO NOT CALL THESE NUMBERS-THEY MAY STILL BE ACTIVE. THIS MATTER IS UNDER INVESTIGATION. THE BANK OF STAR CITY WILL NEVER SEND OUT PRE-RECORDED MESSAGES CONCERNING YOUR DEBIT CARD.
Bank of Star City has chosen not to participate in FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Customers of Bank of Star City with non-interest-bearing transaction accounts will continue to be insured through December 31, 2013, for up to $250,000.00 under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.
